every family deserves a safe, affordable place to live, learn, work, and play.
High school senior, Edie Laurie, is organizing students throughout Fort Wayne to volunteer for Habitat and help paint and install flooring for Habitat Partner Family, Ciaira, and her children.
In addition to volunteering, our goal is to raise $10,000 to help cover the cost of materials for Ciaira's home.
Any donation helps support affordable homeownership and gets Ciaira closer to achieving her dream of owning her own home. Please help us reach our goal and spread the word to family and friends!

Ciaira's Story
Before joining the Habitat Homeownership Program, Ciaira felt that becoming a homeowner just wasn't feasible. As a mom of 4, Ciaira works hard every day to provide for her children, but she shared she couldn't help but feel that "no matter how hard I worked, it was never enough."
Recently, Ciaira became the guardian of her youngest brother after their mom unexpectedly passed away. With six members of the family now sharing three bedrooms, finding a home that provided enough space while still fitting into the monthly budget was more important than ever -which led Ciaira to Habitat.
As their home nears completion at the end of 2023, Ciaira is excited and proud of what she's accomplished. Not only will affordable homeownership provide financial stability and security to her family, but they will now have a permanent space to make lasting memories, connect with their community, and create a future.
